Zeovus Food

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything You Need to Know

Common questions from private label buyers, co-development partners, and distributors — answered plainly.

What certifications does Zeovus Food hold?

Zeovus Food manufactures in facilities compliant with FSSAI (Central Licence), GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, US FDA registration, and BRCGS standards. We also hold Halal, Kosher, Organic (NPOP), and Vegan certifications. Every product batch additionally passes our internal ZQA framework: 12 steps covering 825 verified testing parameters. Certificates are available on request for all active partners.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for private label?

MOQ varies by product category and packaging format. For most dry staples, spices, and cereal-based products, the minimum production run starts at 500 kg. For co-extruded or speciality products such as high-protein pasta, the minimum is typically 1 MT per SKU per run. We are happy to discuss pilot-scale runs for first-time partners to reduce upfront commitment while validating the product. Contact our team for a specific MOQ for your product brief.

How long does a typical formulation-to-production timeline take?

For a brand-new formulation (new product category, new specification), allow 8–14 weeks from first consultation to dispatch — approximately 4–8 weeks for consultation and sample approval, then 4–6 weeks from purchase order to dispatch. For known product types where we are re-running an established formula, the PO-to-dispatch lead time is typically 3–4 weeks. Timeline depends on ingredient availability, regulatory requirements for the target market, and packaging complexity.

Do you handle export documentation and logistics?

Yes. For international orders, Zeovus Food handles all standard export documentation: Certificate of Origin, phytosanitary certificates, FSSAI export NOC, US FDA Prior Notice (for shipments to the United States), and Halal/Kosher certificates where applicable. We work with freight forwarders for both FCL and LCL shipments. Incoterms are agreed per order — we typically quote Ex-Works or FOB Mumbai, with the option to arrange CIF for established partners.

What is the difference between private label and co-development?

Private label means you select an existing Zeovus product from our standard range, brand it under your label, and we manufacture it to specification. The formula, process, and compliance are already established — it is faster and lower risk. Co-development means you bring us a brief — a target nutrition profile, a format, a market positioning — and our R&D team builds a new formula from scratch to meet it. You own the resulting specification (subject to agreed IP terms), and we manufacture it exclusively for you. Co-development carries a longer timeline and typically a development fee, but gives you a genuinely differentiated product.

Which markets and regions do you currently ship to?

Zeovus Food currently exports to the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Singapore, in addition to domestic supply across India. We have regional representatives in India (Mumbai), the USA (Tampa, FL), and Qatar (Doha) for local partnership support. We are actively expanding into the GCC, South-East Asia, and mainland Europe. If your target market is not listed, contact us — we evaluate new market entry on a case-by-case basis.
